Smile Again Mountain (SAM) is dedicated to fighting against Gender-Based Violence and creating sustainable futures for adolescent girls and teenage mothers in Trans-Nzoia County.
Founded on February 6, 2019, Smile Again Mountain (SAM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) in Trans-Nzoia County. We work to prevent, identify, and respond to GBV incidents through community-driven solutions that empower adolescent girls and teenage mothers.
Our organization was established in response to the urgent need for sustainable interventions that address the root causes of vulnerability while building resilience and self-sufficiency among our beneficiaries.
"Empowering adolescent girls is not just a matter of human rights but a valuable investment. Every dollar invested can generate more than a tenfold return in economic impact."
We uphold honesty, transparency, and accountability in all our actions.
We believe in equal opportunities for all, ensuring that no girl or young mother is left behind.
We approach our work with empathy, ensuring survivors receive dignified and holistic support.
We implement long-term solutions that promote resilience and lasting impact.
We empower adolescent girls to overcome barriers to education, health, and economic opportunities. Our programs address gender-based violence, promote sexual and reproductive health rights, and build leadership skills.
