The Smile Again Movement was founded on February 6, 2019, as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Trans-Nzoia County to empower adolescent girls and teenage mothers facing poverty, gender-based violence (GBV), limited education opportunities, and economic hardship.
It was established in response to the urgent need for sustainable, community-driven solutions to the challenges that adolescent girls and teenage mothers in the region face. Committed to breaking cycles of dependency and vulnerability, Smile Again Mountain focuses on Integrated Health and Rights, economic empowerment, and education support.
We uphold honesty, transparency, and accountability in all our actions.
We believe in equal opportunities for all, ensuring that no girl or young mother is left behind.
We approach our work with empathy, ensuring survivors receive dignified and holistic support.
We implement long-term solutions that promote resilience and lasting impact.
We primarily focus on supporting adolescent girls and teenage mothers, recognizing their heightened vulnerability to GBV, economic hardships, and limited access to education and opportunities.
Our programs are specifically designed to address the unique challenges faced by these groups, providing tailored interventions that meet their specific needs and circumstances.
By focusing on these vulnerable populations, we aim to break intergenerational cycles of poverty and gender inequality, creating lasting positive change in Trans-Nzoia County.
Enhancing economic empowerment, education access, and holistic well-being of adolescent girls and teenage mothers in the slums, along the mountains, and the underserved rural communities.
We focus on areas where services are limited and needs are greatest, bringing targeted interventions to communities that are often overlooked by mainstream development programs.
Our community-based approach ensures that solutions are culturally appropriate, sustainable, and responsive to the specific contexts of Trans-Nzoia County.
Together, we can create lasting change for adolescent girls and teenage mothers in Trans-Nzoia County. Whether through donations, volunteering, or partnerships, your support makes a difference.
